30-day deadline

An imported car must be registered within 30 days of bringing it into Poland. Late registration — a fine from 500 zł.

What you need

Proof of excise (or customs) payment, inspection, OC insurance, sworn translation of the foreign registration document and purchase document, and the owner's ID.

Plates

Standard plates — about 160 zł in fees, personalised — about 1200 zł. A temporary permit is issued first, then the permanent registration certificate.
